Bride of Frankenstein is an upcoming film, and the second installment in the Dark Universe. It will be directed by Bill Condon,[1] and written by David Koepp.[2]


Production historyEdit

In November 2015, it was reported that Universal Studios was eyeing Angelina Jolie for the title role in Bride of Frankenstein.[5] The following month, David Koepp was hired to write the script for the film.[2] In July 2016, Javier Bardem was in talks to portray Frankenstein's monster.[6] In May 2017 the film's title was confirmed as Bride of Frankenstein, with Bardem confirmed to appear and Bill Condon directing, as well as a release date of February 14, 2019.[1] In October 2017, however, Bride of Frankenstein was pulle from the release schedule and pre-production was halted, citing rewrites to the script.[3]
